A Vijaywada based physics lecturer of SRR and CVR College Attada Babu Rao, with a varied interest in collecting cards and stamps as a hobby, has earned a place in The Limca Book of Records 2013 for possessing the largest postal stamp.
An active member of Lions International after retiring from the government job and doing a part-time job in the college for the interest he has in teaching, Mr. Babu Rao had earlier got a Limca Book mention in 2012 for possessing the largest number of picture cards and now has set a national record by possessing 12 CM X 3.5 CM postal stamp of Thailand. The stamp with a face value of 9 Baht (Thai currency) looks like a photograph and was issued in 1996. One of his friends sent him the stamp from Thailand. Currently he has a collection of hundreds of stamps. He keeps writing letters to his friends abroad and they too reciprocate keeping in mind his philatelic interest. “I am aiming at the largest number of post cards for next year’s Limca Book,” says Babu Rao.
First Phase Direct Recruitment PA/SA Examination 2013 will be held on 21/4/2013.

Generally the announcement of DA comes in the month of every year but this year it did not happened as expected. The government employees were eagerly awaiting for the announcement. As everyone knows that it will be from the month of January 2012 onwards.
This situation has raised due to the Finance Minister’s trip to the Japan as information’s received from some media. we can expect the decision of the government as soon as the arrive from there. But surely the announcement of DA will come out in day or two. Normally ,the DA arrears will be disbursed for January & February and DA For March is included in the monthly salary but as of now, the situation may change.

Post offices across nation to be networked
Post offices across the country will be online integrated into a single network, Union Minister of State for Communications and IT Killi Kruparani said on Sunday. “Post offices have more account holders than banks and more customer-friendly services are in the offing”, she said, at the foundation stone ceremony for a modern post office at Kukatpally.
The new post office is being constructed at a cost of Rs.2 crore and will be one of the hubs for the ‘Logistic Post service’. The Minister explained that under ‘Project Arrow’ 149 post offices were modernised in the State and another 48 were in the pipeline while Aadhaar-enabled pension disbursement and other monitory benefits would also be taken up. Around 1,000 POs across the country would be equipped with ATMs along with GIS maps and the Mobile Money Order facility would be introduced in October, Ms. Kruparani said. An ultra modern Automated Mail Processing Centre will be inaugurated at Shamshabad soon. She also said that more post-offices would be built through PPP model. LSP chief Jayaprakash Narayan, Chief Postmaster General Karuna Pillai and Director of Postal Services Mariamma Thomas were present.
